CHEERY DOGS Dog Training

INFORMATION ON CHEERY DOGS TRAINING SERVICES:

PRIVATE LESSONS IN YOUR OWN HOME:

Private lessons are helpful if you have a schedule which does not allow you to get to group classes or if you have a problem with your puppy or dog. In your home I can evaluate your dog in a familiar environment, meet all family members, explain my training method and address your individual needs. We then make a plan for further training together.

Please email me jane3dog@yahoo.com  or call 929-9115 for rates.

New Puppy Visit:

1 1/4  hours. I will evaluate your puppy and give you recommendations on how to bring out the best in his/her personality. I will also screen your puppy for any problem behaviors that need addressing. I will look at your home environment and make suggestions on how to set the puppy up for success. If there are children in the family I will teach them appropriate games to play with the puppy. We will discuss a housetraining routine, socialization, and we will work on puppy sits, paying attention, self control exercises, coming when called and leash walking . Follow up visits of 50 minutes may be arranged at your house. Attendance in one of my puppy classes would also be a strong recommendation.

New Dog Visit:

1 1/4  hours. I will evaluate your new dog for you, (or your present dog who needs training) screening for any problem behaviors that need addressing. I will review your home environment and make recommendations on how to manage your new dog successfully. We will discuss a housetraining routine (if necessary) and work on sits, paying attention, self control exercises, coming when called and leash walking. Training exercises of your choice may also be included. Follow up visits of 50 minutes may be arranged at your house.  Attendance at one of my group dog classes will also be discussed, if that would be a good route for you and your dog.

Problem Solving Visit:

1 1/4 - 1 1/2  hours. I will assess your dog’s problems and together we will make a plan to help resolve and manage them. Common problems that need addressing are house training, separation anxiety, aggression towards other dogs, barking, chewing, fearfulness and anxiety in general. You will learn how to manage your dog while we work on retraining and behavior modification routines.
